Abstracts are to be submitted for presentations below.

・Symposia (only for the invited speakers)

・Reqular Presentations (oral and poster)

・Undergraduate Student Session (poster)

August 1 (Fri) – October 6 (Mon) 12:00 PM JST, 2025

Requirements

1)Symposia and Regular Presentations

The first and presenting author must be a qualified Physiological Society of Japan (PSJ) member. If you are currently not a PSJ member and wish to present your paper as the first author at the meeting, please apply for PSJ membership.
However, speakers from overseas and Symposium speakers are not required to join PSJ.

The Society also offers “Temporary Membership”. Non-members can submit papers for regular presentations at meetings of the Society by becoming the temporary member during the valid period of this membership.

Except for the symposia proposed by the committees, symposia speakers are not eligible to be the first author of a regular presentation. Each person is allowed to give only one presentation as the first author.

2)Undergraduate Students

Please select “Undergraduate Student Session” as the presentation format. The presentation format of the Undergraduate Student Session is for poster presentations only. Undergraduate students are required to be PSJ members.  Please refer to the URL below.

1)Presentation Format

①Symposia

All symposium speakers are to deliver presentations at the meeting venue.

②Regular Presentations (Oral/Poster)

All regular presentations are to be performed at the meeting venue.

As a result of selection, you might be allotted to a poster presentation even though you applied for an oral presentation.

③Undergraduate Student Session

All presentations will be given on-site as poster presentations.

The Young Scientist Award will be given to excellent posters.

How to Submit an Abstract

1) You can submit your paper through the online submission system. Please click the “Abstract Submission” button at the end of this page to start the submission
2) PSJ membership ID code is required.
PSJ membership ID code is the number found at the bottom right corner of the Journal of the Physiological Society of Japan mailing label.
*Please enter 999999, if your membership application is in process or you are going to join the membership.
*Otherwise, please enter 000000.

3) Length of an abstract
(1) Title: Within 200 characters

(2) Body: Within 2,400 characters.

Conflict of Interest (COI)

Follow the COI guidelines and disclose conflicts of interest.
The Physiological Society of Japan requires all presenters (including co-authors and non-members) to disclose financial relationships related to the presentations for the past 3 years calculated from the time of abstract submission.
Please add “COI: No” or “COI: Properly Declared” to the end of your abstract. Even if you have financial relationships related to your research, you don’t need to disclose it as long as it doesn’t fulfill any of the COI criteria. In this case, please add “COI: NO” to the end of your abstract.

Ethical Procedure

This meeting is operated in accordance with the guidelines for ethical procedures in submitting abstracts for scientific meetings as set forth by the research ethic committee of the Japanese Medical Science Federation. Please indicate at the time of submission whether you have the appropriate review committee approval for human and animal experiments.

Review/Modify Abstract

You can view or modify your abstract during the abstract submission period. Click the “Review or Modify Abstract” button at the bottom of this page, then log in with your e-mail address and password.

Neither modifications nor additions can be made to your submitted abstract once the abstract submission period has been closed. Please ensure that your submission is accurate and that no authors, affiliations, or other information have been accidentally omitted since your submission will be published as is.

Notification of Acceptance

Once the program is finalized, applicants will receive notifications of acceptance or rejection in late November. The decision on abstract acceptance is entirely up to the Steering Committee.
Please note that the abstracts of symposia speakers may also be checked by the Steering Committee.
